USA:HUNTERS FIND BULLETS FROM AMERICAN CIVIL WAR IN 185-YEAR OLD ALLIGATOR

USA: Hunters Find Bullets from American Civil War in 185-Year Old Alligator’s HideVicksburg| A group of Mississippi hunters who shot and killed an alligator weighting 910 pounds (413 kilograms) on Sunday, were amazed when they discovered that the animal already bore injuries caused by musket ammunitions from the Civil War era. A total of 9 spherical projectiles was found, and the various tests and analysis realized on them have confirmed that they were indeed fired at the animal in the 19th Century.

'1.4 million people die of hepatitis every year' - WHO. WHO recommended among other things that people should know their risks, demand safe injections, get vaccinated, get tested and seek treatment.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has revealed that hepatitis B and C cause approximately 80% of all liver cancer deaths and kill close to 1.4 million people every year.
The global health body made this known in a statement released to mark the World Hepatitis Day.
The group also highlighted the urgent need for countries to enhance action to prevent viral hepatitis infection and to ensure that people who have been infected are diagnosed and offered treatment.
To this end, WHO recommends among other things that people should know their risks, demand safe injections, get vaccinated, get tested and seek treatment.

Michel Platini Wants To Contest For UEFA President

We never denied Dame Patience Jonathan access to VIP’s lounge at Airport – FAAN


Dame PatienceLagos – The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) on Tuesday said that it never denied Dame Patience Jonathan, the wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan, access to the VIP’s lounge at the Port Harcourt International Airport.
FAAN’s denial is contained in a statement issued by Mr Yakubu Dati, its General Manager, Corporate Affairs.

Banks extend loan repayment period for states

BANKS have resolved to extend the repayment period of short-term loans owed by states to a minimum of 20 years.
According to a document released at the end of the National Executive Council meeting in Abuja on Thursday, the Governor of the Central Bank, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, disclosed this while giving an update on the restructuring of states’ loans.

Sunday Oliseh has been unveiled by the Nigeria Football Federation as coach of the Super Eagles.
The 40-year-old was the overwhelming favourite to be handed the role after the ‘Big Boss,’ Stephen Keshi, was shown the exit door by the NFF two weeks ago.

Court releases Lamido, sons on bail

 Former Jigawa State Governor, Mallam Sule Lamido, and  his lawyer, Joe Agi (SAN), at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
At the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday granted bail on self-recognisance to a former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, who is being prosecuted along with his two sons, Aminu and Mustapha, as well as others for N1.3bn fraud.
Other accused persons, comprising the two sons of the former governor and the fourth co-accused, Aminu Abubakar, were granted bail in the sum of N25m and two sureties each by Justice Gabriel Kolawole.
The other companies arraigned along with them were companies through which they allegedly perpetrated the fraud.

The popular actor got the delivery of a 2014 Range Rover Super Charged SUV for his adorable wife as she adds a year older on Mothers’ Day, May 10, 2015.
Investigation showed that the car which is valued at $102,000 (N20, 303,100) was presented to the actor’s wife by himself before taking to his Instagram account to shower praises on her.
