Three arrests we’re made by local authorities and 22 others could be charged with indecent exposure and exhibitionism after police shut down the orgy that was occurring in the backyard of Jennifer “Ishtar” Boniface, a local resident and founder of the Temple of Baphomet, a satanic group which had caught little attention from authorities until then.
Witness reports confirm the members, aged 21 to 63, sang, chanted and had sexual intercourse with each other in full day light, a number of members apparently “having sex” with the statue of Baphomet as well.
“When we arrived, most members had fled into the house, yet three remained in the backyard. One old man had got his genitals stuck within a crevasse of the statue and necessitated the help of the local fire department to get himself free” he told local reporters. “It was possibly the most awkward scene I have had to witness in all my career” admits the police officer.
A number of local residents and neighbors witnessed the estranged ceremony.
“I knew Jenny was a bit eccentric, and I knew she was working on an art project in her backyard, but a satanic statue!?!” acknowledges Angela Smithson, a 76-year old resident. “I am shocked, she was such a nice girl, although I admit her friends kind of looked strange” she recalls.
Since 2001, the state of Utah has seen a recrudescence of satanic practitioners, with an approximate 2,700 members registered at the Church of Satan’s headquarters in New York city, making Utah the state with the highest density of satanic worshippers in the Unites States.
